Property Services Group

The Property Services Group is a commercialised business unit that works to plan, secure and manage land supply for the Queensland Government's industrial development objectives. Property Services Group is responsible for delivering services under the industry location scheme. The scheme encompasses industrial property developments and land use analysis and planning.

The role of the Property Services Group includes:

  • acquiring and developing strategic industrial land across Queensland where planning failures threaten that development
  • acquiring, developing and selling industrial land where market gaps are identified and limit the availability of land for industries wishing to locate their industrial operations in Queensland
  • ensuring necessary infrastructure is available on industrial land likely to be the home of industrial projects in Queensland
  • providing specialist buildings and accommodation where these needs have not been met by the private sector.

Services

Property Services Group offers three services under the industry location scheme:

Land service

Our land services provide a 'mechanism of last resort' in situations where Queensland's economic development is threatened by gaps in the industrial real estate market or planning failures. The Property Services Group manages the property portfolio held by the scheme.

Infrastructure service

The Property Services Group's infrastructure service works to ensure industrial projects, which will contribute to the economic growth of Queensland and do not require long-term subsidisation, have access to adequate infrastructure.

Building and accommodation service

Our building and accommodation service provides a 'mechanism of last resort' when projects, which are important to the economic development of Queensland, are not able to obtain buildings or accommodation from the private sector.
