Projects and areas of investigation

Industrial land planning activities are undertaken statewide, recognising the economic and development interplays between Queensland’s metropolitan, regional and provincial localities, rural and urban areas. Consideration is also given to linkages of economic activity with other states and in the national and global business environment.

Industrial land planning activities are organised by geographical and economic regions.

Northern Queensland

  • Far North Queensland region (Cairns)
  • North Queensland region (Townsville)
  • North West Minerals Province (Mt Isa/Cloncurry)

Central Queensland

  • Mackay, Isaac and Whitsunday Region
  • Central and Western Queensland region (Rockhampton and Central Highlands)

Southern Queensland

  • Darling Downs/Surat Basin
  • Wide Bay Burnett Region
  • South East Queensland Region
