These guidelines include information on:

- gaining access to land to investigate its suitability for an IFS
- negotiating and consulting with landowners and native title holders regarding the acquisition of land
- mediation and remediation of loss or damage.
These guidelines are being reviewed with the aim of clarifying and simplifying the IFS process.
