Gulf Area Community Social Development Trust

The Gulf Area Community Social Development Trust funds projects that promote cultural, educational, health and social development within the communities of the lower Gulf region.

The trust was established by the Queensland Government under the Gulf Community Agreement and is a sub-fund of the Queensland Community Foundation.

Eligibility for funding

To be eligible for funding from the trust, projects must:

  • benefit the Gulf Area community
  • meet the objectives of the trust
  • be delivered by organisations with ‘deductible gift recipient’ status (as granted by the Australian Tax Office).

2011 funding round

The amount of funding available this year is $400,000.
Preference will be given to projects aimed at closing the gap.
Applications close at 5pm on Monday 31 October 2011.
