  • extensive surface track works between Salisbury and Yeerongpilly (including expansion of the Clapham Rail Yards) and between Victoria Park and Bowen Hills (including a rail viaduct over the Mayne Rail Yards).

Start of construction delayed

Due the reconstruction costs incurred as a result of the floods in Brisbane in January 2011, the state government has pushed the start of construction of the Cross River Rail project back, from 2013 to at least 2015 (subject to the Coordinator-General's approval of the project).
