Feasibility study and planning phase

A feasibility study was undertaken in 2010 to determine a pipeline route and examine environmental or community impacts as well as related mitigation strategies. LinkWater Projects is responsible for developing the project on behalf of the Queensland Government.

LinkWater Projects is preparing an Environmental Impact Statement for the project which includes a number of investigations to assess engineering, environmental and social impacts. A preliminary engineering design and initial project cost estimate will be developed as part of ongoing planning and design.

No approval has been given to construct the pipeline.
