On 24 January 2012, the Queensland Government announced that a team comprising KPMG, Parsons Brinckerhoff and Suters Architects was successful in the competitive tender process to prepare the business case and master plan for ADSC-A.
The ADSC-A master plan and business case should provide the "reference design" for the project, which will enable government to make an informed decision regarding whether to invest in the project. The master plan and business case should be presented to government in early 2013.
A development application seeking preliminary development approval overriding the planning scheme under the Integrated Planning Act 1997 was granted by the Ipswich City Council on 24 June 2010.
