2008 Major Projects Conference overview

The 2008 Major Projects Conference was held Tuesday 14 October 2008 at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. This premier conference is proudly hosted by the Department of Infrastructure and Planning.

With more than $250 billion committed to major infrastructure projects in Queensland, the conference was an opportunity to find out about this massive investment, other significant private sector projects and to network with project proponents from both the public and private sectors.

The conference also launched Projects Queensland Issue 27. Projects Queensland is the most authoritative annual guide on major investment in Queensland, capturing projects valued at more than $30 million that are under study, in construction, or recently completed.

The conference provided the ideal opportunity to examine the projects shaping our state. High profile speakers delivered an informative and exciting program including an interactive forum which will discuss innovations and challenges of financing major projects.
