As part of the Gold Coast Showground Project, the project team is exploring opportunities for other major events that currently use Parklands to relocate to the new Carrara site. The Big Day Out (BDO) tickets will allow a project team member to attend the BDO and observe the event, these observations will be discussed with the project team and used to inform planning for the new Showground site. Accommodating the BDO music festival at the new Carrara site will ensure that the social and economic benefits the event brings to the Gold Coast and Queensland continue.
