How do I access information?

You may access information held by the Department through the following avenues:

Published information

The department is committed to proactively releasing as much information as practicable. In the first instance, please try our publication scheme. You can also search Cabinet decisions.

Disclosure log (information released)

You may check our disclosure log for information already requested.

Contact the department

For advice about other information that's available and how you can access it, please contact the department.

Right to information request

If the information you are looking for is not available through the above methods, you can apply for access to the records of the department by lodging an RTI request.

Note: From 1 July 2009, the Freedom Of Information (FOI) legislation has been replaced by the Right To Information (RTI) legislation. All FOI applications lodged before 1 July 2009 will be processed under FOI legislation. The RTI legislation will apply for any applications after this date.
